UK plan, world traveller — covered both ways
The Hadeda Plans are UK-only — no roaming. For travel data (including trips back to SA), use our sister brand EPICeSIM, which has South Africa-specific eSIMs and 190+ countries covered. As a Hadeda Mobile subscriber you get a 20% discount on EPICeSIM travel eSIMs (rising to 30% on the 10GB Plan and above) for as long as your subscription is active.
Best for
Predictable, lower-volume users who know their habits — messaging, browsing, banking, and a bit of audio on the move — but who still spend most of the day on Wi-Fi. The kind of person who knows roughly how much data they use each month and prefers paying for what they need.
Frequently asked questions
- Is the 5GB Plan right for me?
- 5GB suits users who mostly call, text, and use Wi-Fi at home and at work, with predictable light-to-moderate mobile data use through the day. If you stream music or video over mobile data on a commute, take video calls away from Wi-Fi, or hotspot a laptop, the 10GB Plan at £8.99 is a more comfortable fit — and it raises your EPICeSIM travel discount from 20% to 30%, which more than offsets the price step for anyone who travels.
- Which network does Hadeda Mobile use?
- Hadeda runs on Vodafone UK. Vodafone UK and Three UK merged in May 2025 to form VodafoneThree, which has announced £11 billion of network investment over 10 years.
- Does the 5GB Plan include 5G?
- Yes. The plan uses the Vodafone UK 4G and 5G network. 5G is available in supported areas, on supported phones, at no extra cost.
- eSIM or physical SIM?
- eSIM activation is typically completed in a few minutes via QR code (timing depends on your handset), free, and works on any iPhone XS or newer and recent Samsung Galaxy and Pixel models. A physical nano-SIM is posted to your UK address and works on any phone with a SIM slot.
- Can I use my Hadeda eSIM or SIM in a 5G router or MiFi device?
- No. Hadeda Mobile eSIMs and SIMs are licensed for use in a phone — one device, one customer. Use in dedicated routers, MiFi devices, or other non-phone hardware is not permitted under our Acceptable Use Policy. Mobile hotspot from your phone (tethering to a laptop or tablet) is fully supported.
- What’s Hadeda Caller, and how is it different from WhatsApp?
- Hadeda Caller is a calling app that can dial any South African phone number — mobiles, landlines, business lines, banks, hospitals, schools, hotels, restaurants. The person you call sees a South African caller ID, so it looks like a local call. Apps like WhatsApp, FaceTime, and Signal can usually only call other users of the same app — Hadeda Caller reaches the number you actually need. Subscriber rates start from 4.2p/min to SA mobiles. Full rate card available in your Hadeda Mobile account dashboard.
- What if I need more data one month?
- Add a one-off data bolt-on from your dashboard, or upgrade to the 10GB Plan at £8.99 from the next cycle.
- Is there a fair-use policy?
- 5GB is a hard allowance, not subject to fair-use throttling. UK calls and texts on Hadeda plans are unlimited and governed by our standard Acceptable Use Policy — personal use, no commercial reselling.
Want more headroom? The 10GB Plan at £8.99 includes 30% off EPICeSIM travel — most users who travel even occasionally end up better off on 10GB once the EPICeSIM saving is factored in.
