Last updated: 5 September 2026 · Version 1.1
Change note, 5 September 2026 (v1.1): clause 6.1 now states how our rates are set — from 4.2p per minute for Hadeda Mobile plan holders and a standard rate of 9p per minute without a plan — and that the rate that applies is the one published when the call is made. No customer’s price changed on this date: every call continues to be charged at 4.2p per minute. Version 1.0 (30 July 2026) remains available on request from support@hadedamobile.co.uk.
1.1 These terms cover Hadeda Caller, our prepaid international calling app, and the calling credit you buy for it. They are between you and Hadeda Mobile Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17044132), registered office 7 Blade Mews, London SW15 2NF. VAT number GB 517 5098 79. ICO registration ZC095675.
1.2 These terms apply to the Hadeda Caller app only. If you also have a Hadeda Mobile SIM plan, that is a separate service with its own terms.
1.3 Together with the Contract Summary and Contract Information we give you before you buy credit, these terms form your contract with us. The Contract Summary and Contract Information are part of the contract and can only be changed if we both expressly agree.
1.4 You must be at least 18 and a UK resident to open an account and buy credit.
2.1 Hadeda Caller lets you make voice calls from the app, over the internet, to South African numbers only, paid for from a prepaid credit balance. Calls to other countries are not currently available. When we add destinations we will publish the rates before you can call them.
2.2 Hadeda Caller is outbound only. You are not given a phone number, and you cannot receive calls in the app.
2.3 Calls to premium-rate, special-rate and other high-cost number ranges are barred.
2.4 The app needs a working internet connection (Wi-Fi or mobile data). Your network or broadband provider may charge you for the data the app uses; that is between you and them.
3.1 You cannot call 999, 112 or any emergency service using Hadeda Caller. The app only connects calls to South African numbers.
3.2 In an emergency, use your phone’s built-in dialler, which can call 999 and 112 free of charge even without credit or signal from your usual network.
3.3 Before your first call, the app asks you to confirm you understand this. Please make sure everyone who might use your phone knows it too.
3.4 Calls you make display a Hadeda number as the caller ID. This is not your personal number, and calls made to it will not reach you.
4.1 You sign in to Hadeda Caller with your Hadeda account. Keep your login details safe and tell us straight away at support@hadedamobile.co.uk if you think someone else is using your account.
4.2 Your account and your credit are personal to you. They cannot be transferred, gifted or shared with anyone else.
5.1 You buy credit as a one-off purchase on our website. It is not a subscription. We will never take a recurring payment from you for calling credit; you pay only when you choose to top up.
5.2 Your credit is held as a sterling balance in your Hadeda Caller wallet and can be spent only on Hadeda Caller calls. It has no cash value except where these terms or the law give you a refund. It cannot be exchanged, transferred to another person or another Hadeda product, or used to pay anyone other than us.
5.3 Your credit is not a bank deposit and is not electronic money. It is not covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme.
5.4 From time to time we may give you free promotional credit (for example, our founding offer of £1.26 — around 30 minutes — for accounts created before 30 September 2026). Free credit is always spent before paid credit, has no cash value, is never refundable, and may carry its own published expiry.
6.1 What calls cost. Our rates depend on the destination you call and on whether you hold a Hadeda Mobile plan. Calls to South Africa cost from 4.2p per minute, including VAT, for Hadeda Mobile plan holders. A standard rate of 9p per minute, including VAT, applies if you do not hold a plan. We may charge less than the published standard rate. Our current rates are always published at hadedamobile.co.uk before you buy, and the rate that applies to a call is the rate published at the time the call is made. If we change our rates, clause 6.4 applies.
6.2 Calls are billed per whole minute: when your call ends, the duration is rounded up to the next full minute and that amount is taken from your balance. Example: a call of 3 minutes 10 seconds is billed as 4 minutes — 16.8p.
6.3 If your balance is too low to continue a call, the call will end. The app shows your balance and an estimate of your remaining talk time.
6.4 We can change our call rates. If a change increases the price of your calls, we will publish the new rate at least 14 days before it takes effect, and it will only apply to calls made after that date — credit you already hold keeps its sterling value and simply buys minutes at the new rate. We do not apply automatic CPI- or RPI-linked annual price rises.
7.1 Your credit stays available for 365 days from the last time you used your account — making a call or topping up each restart the 365-day clock.
7.2 We will remind you by email 30 days and 7 days before your credit is due to expire, so a quick call or top-up keeps it alive.
7.3 If the full 365 days pass with no activity, your remaining credit expires and your balance is set to zero.
7.4 This section applies to credit bought while these terms are in force. Free promotional credit may expire earlier under its own published terms.
8.1 Because you buy credit online, you have a legal right to cancel your purchase within 14 days of buying it, without giving a reason (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013).
8.2 At checkout, we ask you to expressly request that your credit is available immediately, rather than waiting for the 14 days to pass. Because of that:
8.3 To cancel, email support@hadedamobile.co.uk or write to us at the address in section 1, saying clearly that you want to cancel. You can use the model cancellation form we include in your confirmation email, but you do not have to.
8.4 We refund within 14 days of you telling us you are cancelling, to the same payment method you used, unless you expressly agree otherwise. We never charge a fee for processing a refund.
8.5 This section is about changing your mind. If something is wrong with the service, section 9 applies instead, and nothing in this section reduces those rights.
9.1 Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, we must provide our service with reasonable care and skill. If we do not — for example, a call fails or is billed incorrectly because of a fault on our side — tell us and we will re-credit the affected amount or otherwise put it right.
9.2 Hadeda Caller depends on the internet connection you use and on networks we do not control in the UK and South Africa. Call quality can vary and, rarely, the service may be unavailable. We work to keep interruptions short and, where we plan maintenance likely to affect you, we will give notice in the app or by email.
9.3 Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
10.1 You must use Hadeda Caller only for your own personal, lawful use. In particular you must not use it to make unlawful, fraudulent, abusive or nuisance calls; to send or facilitate spam or artificially generated traffic; or to resell calls or run a commercial calling operation.
10.2 If we reasonably believe your account is being used in breach of this section, or that your account or payment method is being used fraudulently, we may suspend the service while we investigate, and we will tell you what we have done and why unless the law prevents us.
11.1 You can stop using Hadeda Caller and close your account at any time by contacting support. Section 8 sets out when a refund is due; otherwise your remaining credit stays available until it expires under section 7.
11.2 We may end these terms or withdraw Hadeda Caller by giving you at least 30 days’ notice. If we do, or if we make a change to these terms or the service that is to your material disadvantage and you tell us within 30 days of our notice that you do not accept it, we will refund your unused paid credit in full.
11.3 We may suspend or end your account with immediate effect if you materially breach these terms (including section 10) and, where the breach can be put right, you do not put it right within 7 days of us asking.
12.1 We do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to exclude or limit — including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
12.2 Subject to 12.1, we are responsible for foreseeable loss and damage we cause, and our total liability to you is limited to £3,000 for any claim or series of connected claims.
12.3 We are not responsible for losses that are not foreseeable, for business losses (we supply Hadeda Caller for private use only), or for problems caused by your internet connection, your device, or events genuinely outside our control.
12.4 Section 3 matters here: Hadeda Caller is not a replacement for a phone line and cannot make emergency calls. We are not liable for any loss arising from an attempt to use the app to reach emergency services.
13.1 If you are unhappy, contact us first at support@hadedamobile.co.uk or 07348 950 917 and we will do our best to put it right.
13.2 If your complaint is unresolved 6 weeks after you first raised it, or we send you a deadlock letter, you can refer it free of charge to our independent Alternative Dispute Resolution scheme, the Communications Ombudsman, who can review the dispute and make a decision that binds us.
14.1 Our Privacy Notice at https://hadedamobile.co.uk/privacy/ explains what personal data we collect, why, and your rights over it.
15.1 We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation; we will tell you if this happens, and it will not reduce your rights. You may not transfer yours, because the account and credit are personal to you (section 4.2).
15.2 If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we delay enforcing any part of these terms, we can still enforce it later.
15.3 We will give you at least 30 days’ notice of any change to these terms that is to your material disadvantage, and section 11.2 gives you your exit with a refund of unused paid credit.
16.1 These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes can be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts, and you keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections of the law where you live.
