Hadeda Mobile is a UK mobile network for the South African community in Britain. We exist because the big networks don’t understand what Saffers need — affordable data, a cheap way to call home, and a network that actually gets our community.
Hadeda Mobile was founded by Ed Stephenson, a South African-born technology entrepreneur with over 25 years’ experience as a Senior Partner at EY. After watching South Africans in the UK get overcharged by networks that couldn’t tell a braai from a barbecue, Ed set out to build something better — a mobile network designed from the ground up for the SA diaspora.
We’re not a massive corporation. We’re a small, focused team building a network that puts our community first. Every plan, every feature, every decision is made with South Africans in the UK in mind.
Hadeda Mobile runs on the Vodafone UK network — the same masts, the same coverage, the same speeds. We’re an eSIM-first network, so there’s no waiting for a SIM card in the post: choose your plan, scan a QR code, and you’re connected in minutes.
Powered by Vodafone — we use the Vodafone UK network through our wholesale partnership with ESG UK MVNA Ltd.
All plans include unlimited UK calls and texts, a UK number, and free 999/112 — just choose the data allowance that suits you. Prices include VAT, and there are no contracts: cancel any time. See our Plans page for current prices.
