Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy forms part of your agreement with us and should be read alongside our Customer Terms & Conditions. It keeps the network fair, safe and reliable for everyone.

1. What This Covers

These rules apply to every customer and to anyone using a Hadeda SIM or eSIM. Our services are for personal use.

2. You Must Not

2.1 Illegal or harmful use

  • break any law (including defamation, privacy, harassment, discrimination or obscenity laws);
  • send or store harmful, threatening, abusive, obscene, deceptive or fraudulent content;
  • harass, stalk or threaten anyone;
  • distribute, access or store child sexual abuse material or any content that exploits minors;
  • infringe anyone’s intellectual property; or
  • breach UK sanctions or export controls.

2.2 Network abuse

  • spam, artificially inflated traffic, or revenue-share number abuse;
  • spoofing identity, caller ID or message headers;
  • unauthorised probing, attacks or malware; or
  • anything that degrades the network or affects other users.

2.3 Prohibited devices and uses

  • no machine-to-machine, IoT or automated devices (personal tethering is fine);
  • no SIM boxes or gateways;
  • no use as a fixed-broadband or fixed-wireless replacement, and no use in dedicated routers, MiFi or other non-phone hardware, without our written approval; and
  • no reselling or redistributing the service (personal tethering excepted).

2.4 Fair use on “Unlimited” plans

Our Unlimited plans give you genuinely unlimited UK data with no hidden cap during normal personal use. “Personal use” means use by you on up to 4 devices. It does not include running servers, replacing your primary household broadband, commercial resale, or regularly tethering more than 4 devices at once. We’ll normally contact you before taking any action.

2.5 Roaming

Hadeda plans are for use in the UK and do not include roaming abroad. If you need data while travelling, our sister company EPICeSIM offers travel eSIMs for use overseas.

2.6 Premium-rate and special-rate numbers

Calls to premium-rate and special-rate numbers (including the 118, 084, 0871, 0872, 0873 and 09 ranges) are currently barred on Hadeda plans.

3. If You Break This Policy

  • 3.1 We may ask you to stop, restrict specific services, suspend, or (for serious or repeated breaches) terminate your service.
  • 3.2 We’ll usually contact you first, but may act immediately and without notice where there’s a legal, Ofcom or law-enforcement requirement, an immediate risk of harm, or suspected fraud or crime.
  • 3.3 Action under this policy doesn’t affect our right to recover charges you owe.

4. Inactive SIMs

We may disconnect a SIM and reclaim its number if it has not been activated within 24 months, or has had no activity for 9 consecutive months. We’ll try to contact you first.

6. Changes

We may update this policy; material changes are handled as set out in our Terms. The latest version is always at /acceptable-use/.
